Kathrin Ruth Lauppert-Scholz
A trained sociologist with over 10 years work and research experience specializing in the sociology of religions at the Institute of Sociology at Graz University, Kathrin also has extensive experience giving and organizing tours for all age groups at the Graz Synagogue. She has devised a variety of age appropriate educational programs on Jewish issues for schools and adult education and is the creator and project coordinator of the Judentum Erleben project. Kathrin also organizes city - wide memorial walks as part of the "Stolpersteine erzählen GeschichteN" project that involves small, cobblestone-sized memorials commemorating Jewish and other victims of the Holocaust. She also continues to work in a number of other projects countering extremism. Karen Engel Founder and director of TACHELES STYRIA and adjunct professor at the University College of Teacher Education in Graz, Styria. Co-founder and director of the Jewish Cultural Center in Graz from 2001-2006, project organizer of the exhibit MINHAG STYRIA, Jewish Life in Styria (2005-2006). Seasoned radio and audio producer (ORF, Deutsche Welle, National Public Radio, etc.) who has worked on many projects dealing with Jewish issues in Austria. |
